Message from Headteacher Glen Pettengell

Welcome to our website which I hope will give you a flavour of what our school is about and our aspirations for all of the students who learn and work here. We are very proud of our recent achievements and the progress we are rapidly making.

Our aim is to create a highly positive learning environment that will enable all the young people, whatever their starting points, to reach their full potential academically through the strong learning character we will help them build. Our role is to develop responsible, determined, creative learners who, as young adults, are ready to meet the many challenges of the fast paced and rapidly changing world that we live in today.

All our students are expected to work hard and behave in an exemplary fashion. To help them achieve this we have clear expectations and a comprehensive rewards system that encourages students to do well and ensures they feel safe and able to meet the challenges we set.

The students and staff of Sir Frederic Osborn School always offer a warm welcome to visitors and there is always so much going on. Why not visit us to experience life at Sir Frederic Osborn School for yourself? We are confident that you will be inspired by what you see.

End of Year Cultural Visits

Following the success of last year's trips to the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, Tate Modern and Duxford we are running the end of year cultural trips again.  We believe that this adds another strand to the development of our students and promotes the concept of British values.  These cultural visits have been selected to catch the imagination of the students and excite them, whilst developing their thirst for enquiry and learning.  The students will be visiting:-

Year 7 - Duxford Imperial War Museum
Year 8 & 9 - Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park
Year 10 - Tate Modern
